Saturday September 11: Nordic walking for everyone
Nordic Walk Now Leadership Programs
Be a leader in your community for skill, safety and knowledge. Register for one of our intensive educational programs. The Instructor Training Program and Master Fitness are for qualified teaching and fitness professionals. Walk To Live Workshop is for passionate community advocates. Pre-registration is required.
Specialty Workshops**
There is more to Nordic Walking poles, than walking! These are fun new Nordic Walk Now specialty workshops: Stability, Stamina & Strength for senior fitness, Graduated Length Strength, and Total Fitness Boot Camp are for everyone. $15 per workshop per person.
Free Beginner Lesson
Start here! Join Malin Svennson and Tom Rutlin for Intro to Nordic Walking on Saturday; show up with a smile and good walking shoes. We provide poles. No registration is necessary for this session.
Free Pole & Inline Skate Demos
Two demo times allow you to learn in a mini lesson with your own private instructor. Try out poles and feel why Nordic walking is compelling for so many. Add inline skates to take your pole workouts to a new dynamic level. Bring a helmet for skating; we provide poles, skates and protective gear. First come, first served. No registration is necessary.
Sunday September 12: For qualified fitness and teaching professionals*
This day is dedicated to the spirit of creating unity and cooperation amongst educators. Nordic Walk Now is pleased to host the education organizations, Nordic Walking North America and Exerstrider Method. These 75 minute sessions require a $15 donation to the Greenfield Parks & Recreation Dept.
* To qualify, you must hold a certificate as a Nordic walking instructor from any education organization.
*REGISTER ON SITE FOR SATURDAY'S SPECIALTY AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS AND SUNDAY'S DONATION INSTRUCTOR COURSES (for Sunday's courses, be prepared to provide a copy of your teaching certificate to participate).
